How Do You Read the Station Console Map?
Inside every outpost control hub is a central holographic terminal. Interacting with this console displays a real-time satellite projection of surrounding sectors:
| Color Code | Status | Meaning | Action Needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Orange | Uncleaned | 100% dirty regolith | Untouched sector ready for sweeps |
| Blue | In Progress | Partially cleaned | Finish remaining patches for bounty |
| Green | Completed | 100% spotless | Bounty collected; move to next sector |
What Are the 12 Lunar Outpost Stations?
Rather than forcing you to trek miles back to your initial drop site, the lunar map contains 12 permanent base stations:
- Depot Chutes: Each station features an independent regolith intake chute and cargo rocket launch pad.
- Garages & Vehicle Bays: Outposts can be upgraded with localized garages for vehicle servicing and recharging.
- Fast Travel & Respawn: Reaching and synchronizing with an outpost console registers it as an active fast-travel destination and respawn anchor for your crew.
Where Are Flags and Scientific Survey Sites Located?
Exploration provides massive economic windfalls when you prioritize marked anomalies:
1. Historic Lunar Flags ($100 Cash)
Scattered around impact basins are historic landing flags. Claiming these flags grants an instant $100 payout and adds a permanent landmark beacon to your map.
2. Scientific Survey Sites ($250 Cash)
Marked by distinct blue radar pings, scientific survey sites feature clusters of radio telescopes, sensor pylons, and communication dishes. Sweeping the dust off these delicate installations awards an enormous $250 payout per site.
3. Custom Waypoint Navigation
When planning an expedition with your team, open the console map and click on any point of interest to drop a Holographic Waypoint. The beacon will appear on every player’s suit compass with distance indicators in meters.
